Helicommand 3A was £275 now £328! (went up?) but new KDS Flymentor is £129 (much cheaper - and will get even cheaper) and now Walkera's new 3 axis gyro stabilization unit with 2.4GHz receiver is just £25 (so cheap you could gyro stabilise your onboard camera too). New (to me) FBL system include micro Rondo or µRondo £129. Beastx BXM76000 Microbeast flybarless £149. More arrive GAUI (GU-365) Flybarless E-Stablizer System (FES) £99. It's even easier now Walkera brought out helis for £200 - £300 which includes 8 channel 2.4GHz radio + 3 axis gyro stabilised pre-built flybarless models First ever YouTube vid - shot with 250g camcorder - that I plan to stick underneath the heli on 3rd flight :) My 1st ever heli flight had mega tail wag - gyro was 100% (came down nice and vertical thanks to Helicommand - in a not too ungraceful death pirouette - but safe). Helicommand forces you to setup DX6i as plane (not heli) - forgot to limit gyro travel (i.e. gain) to 75% + add mix to reduce gain to 50% when flicking Flap/Gyro switch. Noticed a bit of drift - maybe the constant wind - maybe because I had to mount Helicommand at a slight angle to avoid the tail strut being in the 'vision beam'. Given me enough confidence to stick another Helicommand on the beast that is the Align T-Rex 600 CF - I built ages ago - and only spun up once in a tiny kitchen (very scary and not a wise first heli)
